Contains 14 printed playbills and numerous printed programs for various theatrical performances by the Company of the Golden
Hind, a regional theater company based in Berkeley, California. Plays represented in the materials include, The comedy of
errors, The knights of the burning pestle, Ivanov, Measure for measure, The skin of our teeth, and others. Most of the performances
took place at the Berkeley Little Theater. Also includes seven black and white photographs of theatrical costumers and make-up
artists, Carol and Joyce Aronovici, engaged in various theatrical functions. Includes two other programs related to productions
by other theater companies, and two newspaper clippings about Carol and Joyce Aronovici.

Carol Parsons Aronovici was a make-up artist, costumer, actor, set designer, and owner of Stagecraft Studios in Berkeley,
California (opened circa 1928, closed November 2011). He married Joyce K. Oliver in 1949, who was also a costumer and actress.
The Company of the Golden Hind was founded in 1951 by the director, Rachmael ben Avram. It was named in honor of Sir Francis
Drake's ship, the Golden Hind, which carried a troupe of actors to help entertain the crew on their voyage to northern California.
